What is a parent to do if their child gets left behind?

What do I mean by a child being left behind? Well let me explain. My youngest son has chronic asthma and when I say chronic I mean just that..from the time he was born up until now he has been hospitalised more time. Then I can count on both hands and toes together. So he has always had to have some kind of special schooling, and when I say special I mean he's a example ..every day after normal school hours a teacher from the school would come to our home and teach him there for a couple hours...he's had to do it to where he was only allowed to go half a day of school...  The reason behind all this was because anything could set his asthma off..he would be fine one minute and be on his way to hospital the next.. And yes it was andis still that bad.

Now that that you have a brief history on what my sons education has been like for him let me fast  forward to this school year this year he has been enrolled in the K12 PROGRAM what that is is a public school home program .basically you homeschook your child but its thru the public school disctric...

My son is 15 yes old now and desperately wants to have some kinda social life and being homeschooled  all the time or any of the other crazy learning methods he's had to do hasn't really helped with that...so this year he has managed to get the OK for him to go half a day if high school at the school.. So we go up to his high school and the school counselor of all people tells him that he is to Muchtrouble and that he isn't going to be. Able to go school. Because of his health issuse.. I was dumbfounded the councilor made my son feel horrible like if it was his fault he had asthme. I left with my son and it took every inch of self control I had not to shake that lady and say how can you treat a sick child like this...well this is where I want to know what you think...I'm thinking about getting a lawyer or at least going to the paper and letting the public know how my son is being treated because he's sick....let me know what ya think.
